Complete filtration systems for aquaculture and RAS
CrawTec integrated filtration systems combine the main stages of water treatment into a complete, ready-to-install solution. Instead of selecting mechanical and biological filtration equipment separately, the FS series brings the key treatment components together in a coordinated system designed for continuous water circulation.
These systems are intended for recirculating aquaculture systems (RAS), fish farms and other intensive aquaculture facilities where reliable solids removal and biological treatment are required. Different system capacities make it possible to match the filtration equipment to the required water flow and operating load.
CrawTec FS integrated filtration systems
The FS series combines automatic drum filtration with a dedicated biological treatment stage. Suspended solids are removed from the circulating water first, reducing the amount of organic material entering the biofilter. The biological stage then provides the conditions required for the conversion of dissolved nitrogen compounds produced within the culture system.
Depending on the configuration, an FS system can also incorporate UV treatment, biofilter aeration, a drum cleaning pump and other components required for operation. Integrating these elements into one system simplifies installation and eliminates the need to assemble the main filtration stages from unrelated equipment.
Engineered for different aquaculture applications
Filtration requirements depend on more than water flow alone. Stocking density, feeding rate, cultured species, system volume and production technology all influence the actual treatment load. CrawTec FS systems are available in different capacities and can be configured according to the requirements of a particular aquaculture project.
CrawTec manufactures its filtration equipment in-house using food-grade polypropylene. The drum filter, biological filtration stage and auxiliary components are arranged as a complete system, while the configuration can be adapted where a project requires different operating parameters or integration into an existing RAS facility.
Filtration systems for ponds
CrawTec FS systems can also be used for koi ponds, fish ponds and other water bodies with a high biological load.
