9 m³ recirculating aquaculture system module for intensive fish farming CrawTec
The 9 m³ recirculating aquaculture system (RAS) is a self-contained unit for fish farming in intensive aquaculture conditions. It is a fully equipped system designed for use in production, demonstration and auxiliary purposes. The module is ideal for creating isolated areas for breeding, rearing or keeping various species of aquatic organisms.
Design parameters:
- Dimensions L*W*H (mm): 4000 × 2000 × 1200
- Water volume: 9 m³
- Material: food-grade polypropylene (10 mm thick)
- Weight: ~500 kg
- Power consumption: up to 2.2 kW/h (without heating)
The body is divided into a production area (fish tank) and a technological unit for filtration and water treatment. The equipment is fully assembled, and the piping and power unit have been tested during the production stage.

Purpose:
Commercial farming in a modular structure. Rearing of larvae and juveniles. Quarantine and temporary storage. Use for educational and demonstration purposes. Separation of species composition on high-density farms.
Biological versatility:
The system provides stable environmental parameters for the following species:
- Clarias gariepinus (clarias catfish)
- Tilapia spp.
- Oncorhynchus mykiss (rainbow trout)
- Salvelinus alpinus (Arctic char)
- Sturgeon species and hybrids (sterlet, bester, LenRo, RoLo, etc.)
Components:
Polypropylene container with integrated filtration unit. Mechanical cleaning drum filter. Biofilter with floating and fixed bio-load. Energy-efficient pump. UV steriliser. Compressor equipment with sprayers and air distribution. Power and pipe connections (installed).

Advanced features (optional):
Heating circuit: electric boiler, heat exchanger, temperature control. Auxiliary systems: temperature control, pressure protection, automation.
Operating features:
- Quick commissioning without design and assembly
- Modularity: scalability without infrastructure reconstruction
- Sealed design: no need for waterproofing the room
- Relocation: seasonal or permanent placement is allowed
Examples of use:
Production lines for specific types of fish. Insulated blocks for selection, quarantine, adaptation. Conditions for ornamental species (koi, goldfish, discus, etc.). Training rooms, research laboratories, demonstration stands.
Advantages:
Factory assembly, no on-site installation required. Energy-efficient equipment. Complete module autonomy. Flexibility of placement and reuse. Possibility of technical modification to suit the customer's needs.
