Solutions for commercial shrimp farming
CrawTec develops and manufactures equipment for land-based shrimp farming projects. Depending on the size and purpose of the facility, a project may use individual farming equipment, a modular recirculating aquaculture system (RAS), or an integrated technological solution for a new shrimp farm.
The CrawTec range for shrimp farming includes purpose-built tanks, modular RAS units, mechanical and biological filtration equipment and other components required to organise water circulation and treatment within the production system. Individual units can be used to expand an existing facility or combined within a new farm design.
Modular RAS for shrimp farming
A modular RAS provides a compact way to establish an individual production section where farming tanks, water circulation and the main treatment components operate as one system.
CrawTec manufactures ready-to-use RAS modules specifically configured for shrimp farming. For larger facilities, modular production sections can also become part of a wider farm layout and operate together with additional tanks and water treatment equipment.
Equipment for a shrimp farm
Not every project requires a complete RAS module. Existing facilities may need additional shrimp farming tanks, drum filters, biological filters or other water treatment components when expanding or upgrading production.
Equipment selection should therefore consider how the complete system will operate rather than treating each component separately. Tank layout, water circulation, solids removal and biological treatment all need to be coordinated around the requirements of the particular facility.
