The 5 m³ three-chamber biological filter is a powerful solution for effective water treatment in closed water supply systems and fish farms. This model combines the advantages of classical biofiltration with additional mechanical aftertreatment thanks to the filter sponge, ensuring high water quality for hydrobionts.
How does the CrawTec 5 m³ three-chamber biofilter work?
This filter consists of three sections:
- The first chamber is for the sinking bioburden, which serves as a substrate for beneficial bacteria that decompose organics.
- The second chamber contains a floating bio-load, which increases the bacteria settlement area and accelerates the biofiltration process.
- The third chamber is equipped with a polyurethane foam sponge, which traps suspended particles and acts as an additional purifier.
Thanks to this load distribution, the water undergoes several stages of purification, getting rid of harmful compounds, feed residues and other contaminants. Bioburden is not included in the price of the filter.
Main features
- The filter volume is 5 m³, which makes it suitable for large fish farms and intensive aquariums.
- Material - food-grade polypropylene (thickness 10 mm), resistant to water and chemical reagents.
- Disc atomisers - 4 pcs. 340 mm in diameter.
- Air aerator - 1 pc.
- Easy installation - connection via 5 inlet and 5 outlet pipes with a diameter of 110 mm.
- Weight - 260 kg.
Advantages of use
- Maximum biofiltration efficiency - thanks to the combination of sinking and floating bio-loading.
- The filter sponge traps the smallest particles, improving water clarity.
- Saves on maintenance - the filter does not require frequent element replacement and is easy to clean.
- Suitable for intensive fish and crayfish farming systems - consistently cleans the water at high densities of hydrobionts.
Where is the CrawTec 5 m³ used?
This biofilter is widely used in:
- Industrial fish farming RCDs.
- Australian red-clawed crayfish farms.
- Ornamental and industrial ponds with high planting densities.
- Water treatment systems for hydrobionts where consistent water quality is required.
If you need a reliable biofiltration system with high throughput and minimal maintenance costs, the 5 m³ three-chamber biological filter is the best solution. Order now and improve the water quality of your aquarium!
