CrawTec's DFC-50-PRO 50 m³/h combined drum filter is a high performance water treatment equipment for industrial closed water systems (CLS), fish farms and large reservoirs. It combines mechanical and biological filtration to provide crystal clear water and reduce the need for manual maintenance.
How does the CrawTec Combination Filter work?
The filter includes a 650×500mm drum module that traps mechanical contaminants thanks to a finely porous stainless steel mesh. When the mesh becomes clogged, an automatic flushing system (750 W) activates a pump that cleans the filter surface, preventing clogging and reducing the load on the biofilter.
Biological filtration is achieved by Japanese mats, bioblocks and 300 litres of floating bio-load, which create ideal conditions for the growth of beneficial bacteria. These microorganisms effectively break down harmful compounds such as ammonia and nitrite, improving water quality.
Additional aeration is provided by a 500W compressor and four 340mm diameter atomisers, oxygenating the water and maintaining the balance of the ecosystem.
