The CrawTec DFC-30-PRO 30 m³/h combined drum filter is a powerful solution for effective water treatment in closed-loop water supply systems (CLS), industrial and ornamental ponds. It combines mechanical and biological filtration, ensuring consistent water quality and minimising the need for manual maintenance.
How does the combined drum filter work?
The filter features a 550×500mm rotating drum with a stainless steel mesh that traps solids. When the filter mesh becomes dirty, an automatic flushing system (500W) cleans it with a pump, preventing clogging and reducing the load on the biofilter.
Biological cleaning is carried out by Japanese mats, bioblocks and 150 litres of floating bio-load, which serve as a substrate for beneficial bacteria. These microorganisms decompose ammonia, nitrites and other harmful compounds, improving water quality and creating optimal conditions for hydrobionts.
Additional aeration is provided by a 385 W compressor and three 340 mm diameter atomisers, oxygenating the water and promoting biofilm development.
