Biological filter 3-chamber 1,5 m³ is a highly efficient equipment for water treatment in closed water supply installations (CWS), ponds and fish farms. The three-stage filtration system includes a biochar and filter sponge, providing an optimal environment for the development of beneficial bacteria.
Working principle:
The filter is divided into three chambers, each of which fulfils a different function:
- The first chamber must be equipped with with a sinking bioburden (250 litres). It serves as a medium for nitrifying bacteria that decompose ammonia and nitrite.
- The second chamber must contain 250 litres of floating bioburden with a working surface area of 1000 m²/m³, which enhances biological filtration.
- The third chamber uploaded with a polyurethane foam filter sponge, which traps fine suspended solids and further purifies the water.
