Effective water filtration is one of the key factors for the successful operation of closed-loop water systems (CLS). The CrawTec 200 m³ drum filter is designed for large fish and shrimp farms, removing suspended solids and mechanical contaminants without operator intervention.

How does the drum filter work?

Water enters the filter through 10 inlet connections, is evenly distributed over two drums and cleaned through a 63 micron stainless mesh screen. When there are too many impurities, the automation activates the washing system: gearmotors rotate the drums and an integrated high-pressure pump clears the sludge from the drums.
